Urgent Air Shipment of Pumps to South Korea

Lysander Shipping arranged an urgent air transport of 118 tons of Process and Utility pumps for the South Korean ship building industry from North West England to Inchon airport. The heaviest single piece was over 12 tons with dimensions in excess of 7.5m x 2.3m x 2.2m.

As the shipment was urgently needed, in order not to delay the shipbuilding production,  Lysander evaluated the various transport options and decided to transport the units by truck to Luxembourg for further airlift directly to Inchon. The shipment had to be airlifted over 3 flights and was closely co-ordinated, so the components arrived in the right order. All units arrived in Inchon airport and the shipyard on time and thus keep the expensive shipbuilding program on track.
